Things that I love, but not as much as I love the hit Disney Plus show Andor

,

Hi how’s it going? That is great/Oh no I’m sorry. I’ve been working on a big old piece that I hope to have done in a few weeks. It started small but is now stupidly big. I like it a lot though, it’s fun and silly. In the meantime, here’s a little piece and video. Kind regards, Jame.

Things that I love, but not as much as I love the hit Disney Plus show Andor

  • A cool glass of water
  • The colours of autumn
  • Tipping bacon grease down the sink in a rental property
  • Finding a new signature piece of clothing
  • Getting cozy by putting my head under the blanket on a cold night
  • Live music
  • That moment before playing a game of football where you stand frozen in time waiting for the whistle. The crisp frost on the grass, the condensation in your breath – an electric tension in everything and everyone.
  • Time with friends
  • Alone time
  • My Hydro Flask
  • The dents in my Hydro Flask that each represent a different memory
  • Crunchie bars
  • Every second Tuesday
  • My Sony WH-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones (not sponsored)
  • Tears of laughter
  • A really hot shower on a cold winter day, I mean just before the burning point. Scorching hot.
  • Getting eight hours of actual sleep
  • Going to the library
  • Susan Boyle
  • Catching up with an old friend and feeling like no time has passed since you last caught up
  • My idea for the demolition of the Christchurch Cathedral: give everyone in the city a bowling ball and one by one we throw them at the building.
  • Writing lists
  • When you see someone you know in public, but they don’t see you, so you don’t have to say hi
  • Selling all of my blueberries at the end of summer in Stardew Valley
  • Those low bikes where you sit down and look silly
  • Being warmed by sunshine through the window
  • Baby elephant
  • Not standing on the lines when I walk – all while looking cool, calm, and collected
  • The soap-free gentle hand wash that I like, I like that
  • When lyrics HIT
  • Doing funny silly bits with my friends
  • Munching on carrots like a little rabbit
  • The beach
  • Saving money by parking on the university campus for an entire year without paying. I was only caught and clamped once, which while it cost me $50, was a lot cheaper than paying $475 for the year pass, meaning I saved $425
  • Starting a project that I know I won’t finish and being okay with that
  • Watching people fall off lime scooters
  • Going to Scorpio Books
  • A really cold shower on a hot summer day, I mean just before you get hypothermia. Blistering cold.
  • Little dogs:)
  • Chlöe Swarbrick
  • Discovering a new incredible artist and obsessively listening to all of their music: this week it is Mei Semones
  • Ambrosia apples
  • Gossip
  • Snoopy the dog
  • The anticipation of something releasing: an album, a movie, a show, a game, a book. Having it marked in my calendar and counting down the days brings me just as much joy as the day itself
  • The fact that I can keep in touch with my friends even if they live overseas
  • Making fun of people who use chat GPT for writing
  • When you let someone into traffic and they say thank you by giving you a wave or blinking their hazards
  • My parents
  • Scrambled egg
  • What am I writing about?
  • Andor
  • Oh my God, Andor
  • This show is just unbelievable, the sets, the costumes, the performances, I spend every second watching this show with the biggest dumbest grin on my face. The writing is unreal, I can’t even describe the emotion that welled up in me when Mon said “The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil.” It is an incredibly important and socially relevant story, and it takes place in the Star Wars universe? They have pulled off an absolute masterclass in world-building and storytelling. There will never be another Star Wars show like it. There will never be another sci-fi show like it. There will never be a television show like it. It is perfect and I wake every day grateful to live at the same time it exists.
